Drinking at the Roosevelt

After years of seeking out bars with no names, surly bouncers and haughty starlets, I have decided to call it quits. To hell with them, I say. In fact, I will only frequent watering holes that loudly proclaim their existence... In line with this new philosophy, Donna and I went to the Roosevelt Hotel bar, amusingly named “Library.”

It was a Friday night, around 8 p.m. The bar was dead quiet, save for a couple of English tourists who asked if our waitress if they had to pay for the chips. We were going to see Quinceanera at The Arclight, and needed a bit of grub and drink to start off the night right.

The place is dark, with incredibly comfortable chairs and a friendly wait staff. Since it’s a hotel, it has free wifi, which is very cool. In a way, it looks like an upscale Hotel Figueroa.
