Happy New Year!

Man. I'm beat.

I've spent the last 10 days wandering around the Atlantic seaboard, visiting Donna's relatives, adopted, relatives, birth, in Maryland and Virginia, respectively. We also stopped to see my peeps in Philly, and friends in Washington, D.C. Emotionally wrenching, physically wearying, and full of overindulgence, the trip was pretty much all I expected it to be.

As I wandering into the hallowed grounds of LA City Hall this morning, I felt relief. It's good to be back at work. (Of course, had I been a federal employee, it would have been a paid holiday, owing to President Ford's passing. That might have been a bit better.)
