The Burbank Follower, Vol. 2, No. 1

It is a new year for The Burbank Follower. As such, it is time to give my sporadic and completely derivative source of news a new volume number: two. Whoo! Serving you since December 2006. Ah, 2006, I remember the year well.

Anyhow, onto the random and occasionally comprehensive listing of Burbank, Calif. related news.

FAT LADY FAILS TO SING
An showing of "The Magic Flute," broadcast live from the New York Met, sold out Saturday. Alas, the sound also sold out minutes into the performance and never quite recovered. Bummer. LAT (by way of Newsday).

DAY OF MOURNING SKED
Federal courts and offices will be closed, and mail will not be delivered. County and city (sigh) offices will be open. The National Day of Morning is coincides with the funeral of President Gerald Ford. Daily News.
